Training for those interested in becoming a volunteer instructor for the Australian Parkour Association. Anybody is welcome, but only if you are genuinely interested in becoming an instructor, not just an opportunity to train with the instructors. People who turn up with the wrong attitude will be asked to leave.
Regardless of skill level, you are encouraged to attend, although it is not appropriate for an absolute beginner as a reasonable level of fitness, and basic grasp of techniques is required. It is also expected that you have at least attended a couple of Australian Parkour Association basics classes.
We are always looking for new people to become instructors and contribute to the Australian Parkour Association, and welcome everybody and anyone, but please be aware that becoming an Australian Parkour Association instructor it is not for everybody.
Instructor training requires discipline and commitment, be aware that it is rarely easy training and involves things beyond just physical Parkour training.
For professionals (teachers, personal trainers etc) interested in obtaining skills in teaching Parkour, contact the Victorian representative about training packages and courses.
TIME
Outdoor every Sunday from 12pm to 2pm. The last Sunday of every month instructor training will not run.
COST
Free, but only people serious about the training will be allowed to participate.
LOCATION
Instructor training is held both indoors (at The Trace Facility) and outdoors (in the City). For detailed location information visit the locations page.
